Viktor V. Kandaliuk

Born on August 9, 1983, in the city of Odesa. Lived in the city of Yuzhne in the Odesa region. In 1999, he graduated from the 9th grade of secondary school No. 1 in Yuzhne, then attended a vocational technical school in Yuzhne. Since 2014, he worked as an electric gas welder at the state enterprise "Marine Trade Port 'Yuzhny'" (since 2019 - Marine Trade Port 'Pivdenny' - city of Yuzhne). He enlisted in military service under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a gunner-operator of an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) in the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Operational Command 'South' of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0666 (field post V0095), urban-type settlement Chornomorske, Lyman district, Odesa region). He participated in the Joint Forces Operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 8, 2018, Senior Soldier Viktor Kandyliuk was killed at a observation post in the area of the city of Marinka, Donetsk region, from a gunshot wound inflicted by an enemy sniper. On August 10, 2018, he was buried in the city cemetery in Yuzhne, Odesa region.
