Viktor V. Kryvyi

Soldier Viktor Kryvyi was killed on April 15, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 32 years old. Viktor was born and lived in the village of Korzhivka, Khmilnytskyi region. He graduated from the 9th grade of the Korzhivka secondary school of I-II levels, and two years later from the 11th grade of the Staroostropil school. He then studied at the Novochortorivskyi Agrarian Technical School. The man began his service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine on January 17, 2023. He was immediately sent for basic military training as part of an international training operation in Britain. After that, he served in the 77th separate airmobile brigade of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a grenadier. From the unit, he was sent to carry out combat missions in the Donetsk region. "I want to preserve the memory of the hero, because Viktor gave his life for freedom, liberty and dignity, shed his blood so that we could live peacefully, so that we would have our native language, nightingale song, customs, traditions, native field and generous field. The good, bright memory of the hero will forever remain in our memory," wrote Natalia Loshak, head of the education and culture department of the Staroostropil community. Viktor was buried in his native village. At home, his wife Kateryna and daughter Vitalina were waiting for him.
