Viktor V. Piiuk (Dzhavelin)

Soldier Viktor Piyuk (call sign Javelin) was killed on September 28, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Kolodyazi in the Donetsk region. On September 2, the defender turned 28 years old. Viktor was originally from the city of Hlukhiv in the Sumy region. However, he lived his entire life in Chernihiv region — in the city of Nizhyn. He stu at school No. 5 there. In 2014, he graduated from Nizhyn Agricultural Technical Institute with a degree in "Agroengineering." He started a family. He worked as a senior security guard at the "ATB" store. He was involved in football and loved fishing very much. During the full-scale war, in July 2022, he was mobilized into the ranks of the airborne assault troops. He served in the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade. He underwent training and went to fight in the East. "A loyal comrade, caring, loving husband and father. It is impossible to describe my husband in a few words because he is the best for us..." wrote Olga Piyuk. The paratrooper was buried at the Frunzyvskyi Cemetery in the city of Nizhyn. At home, Viktor was awaited by his parents, sister, wife, and son, who was 3 years old at the time of his father's death, as well as other relatives and friends.
