Viktor V. Protsenko

31-year-old Lieutenant Viktor Protsenko was killed on October 5, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. Viktor was born in the city of Zhovti Vody, Dnipropetrovsk region. He stu at secondary school No. 8. In 2012, he graduated with honors from the Sevastopol National University of Nuclear Energy and Industry. That same year, he graduated from the military department of the P. S. Nakhimov Naval Academy with a specialization in "Missile and Artillery Weapons." He received the initial officer rank of junior lieutenant. In 2017, he was called up for military service in the Armed Forces. He served for 18 months, obtained a second military specialty as an engineer in the accounting and operations department, and the rank of lieutenant. When he returned from the army, Viktor worked at the "SkhidGZK" enterprise as an electrician at the plant. In his free time, he engaged in football and powerlifting, actively participating in various city and regional sports competitions, where he won prize places. He was a member of the football teams of Zhovti Vody and the State Enterprise "SkhidGZK." With the onset of the full-scale war, he returned to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of commander of the 3rd motorized infantry platoon in one of the units. He carried out combat missions on the front line. The defender was buried in his hometown of Zhovti Vody. At home, his parents and sister were waiting for Viktor.
