- Senior soldier Viktor Snagovskyi was killed in action on August 5, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the city of Soledar in Donetsk region. The warrior was 47 years old. Viktor was born in the village of Hoshcha, Rivne region. After school, he received the profession of an electric gas welder of the 3rd category at Rivne Vocational School No. 38. Although he dreamed of being a physical education teacher, it didn't work out. In 1993-1995, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Then he returned home. He worked in Kyiv and Transcarpathia, went to work in Poland. In 2015-2016, he participated in the ATO, fought in Luhansk region, had the call sign Khrestyk. In his free time, he loved to fish, catch crayfish, read books, draw. He adored the mountains. He loved winter. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Viktor initially joined the territorial defense of the village of Hoshcha. Later, he underwent training and became a fighter of the 14th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Roman. He took the position of a medic-radiotelephonist of the medical unit of the artillery battalion. He wrote three reports to be taken to the war. In the summer, together with his comrades, he defended Bakhmut. "We met two weeks after Vitya returned from the ATO, from that time we didn't part. It was love at first sight... and until the last breath. The last time I saw him off to war, I didn't want to let him go... There was a very strong rain. When we met, it was also a strong rain, and we stood and hugged, couldn't look at each other. Who knew that it would be our last meeting. When he didn't get in touch, my heart stopped. And I was so happy to hear: "Hello, Oksanka, I'm fine." The last call was in the evening of August 4, and the next morning he was killed in action, and I waited all day for a call from my Vitya. I reassured myself - he just couldn't today. Vitya's last words: "If there is hell, then I am in it... Take care of yourself. I love you very much!!!" We had many plans for the future: to get married, to furnish a house, to travel. Vitya was very kind, sincere, strong and brave. A person with a good soul. He didn't like lies and betrayal very much. He loved life more than anything! In every breath of mine, there is always YOU, my beloved, my dearest and closest. Forever in my heart. I don't believe that you're not there. I'm still waiting for you to call... We all miss you very much," wrote the soldier's beloved Oksana. Viktor was buried in his native village. The fighter left behind his mother, two brothers, two sons, and his fiancée.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
