Viktor V. Topchii

Junior Sergeant Viktor Topchiy was killed on October 25, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Terny in Donetsk region. The soldier was 37 years old. Viktor was born in the village of Hanniivka in Dnipropetrovsk region. He studied to become a lawyer but did not finish university. He worked in a prison in Dnipro, where he held the rank of sergeant. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He spent a lot of time with his son, whom he adored. He had many friends whom he always helped. He loved coffee very much. When the full-scale war began, he joined the ranks of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade. He held the position of deputy commander of the combat vehicle and gunner-operator. "He was a very kind person, always ready to help, cheerful, very well-liked in social circles, and active. He aspired to succeed in his work, to which he was completely devoted. He loved his son very much, as his son loved him. He always wanted the best for him, as he had only him among his closest people! He loved life very much; every day was full for him, he was always busy, and he only left a little time for rest. There were no bad deeds or even thoughts associated with him. He was created for God!" said the former wife of the fallen soldier. The defender was buried in his native village. Viktor is survived by his parents, sister, brother, and son.
