Viktor V. Valieiev (Bahazh)

The service member Victor Valeyev was killed in action on April 19, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region. The defender was 38 years old. Victor was born in Kyiv city. He graduated from the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute". He was one of the builders of the modern IT community. He organized the first professional conferences, supported and changed education, implemented informatization. He was a teacher and lecturer. He headed the Association of IT Ukraine. Later, he became the director of the "Software Ukraine" association. In 2017, Victor left his position and joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation/Joint Forces Operation. After demobilization, he returned to his favorite work. But from the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man went to the front. This time for the last time. "For some time, it felt like there was a terrible mistake in the documents, that it simply could not be. He was so young and full of strength. He did not return from the war to ordinary, civilian life. He was with us, worked as the director of the IT association, worked effectively, but in his thoughts and in contact (constantly) he was with his brothers-in-arms, the 'ATO-ers'. And we were also developing a rehabilitation and socialization program for war veterans. We didn't have time...", wrote his friend Vladislav Bovsunovsky. The defender was buried at Berkovetskoe cemetery in Kyiv.
