- 37-year-old soldier Viktor Zubenko (call sign Zub) was killed on October 31, 2022, near the village of Kurdyumivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he sustained a fatal shrapnel wound and blast injury. Viktor was originally from the city of Pyriatyn in the Poltava region. He graduated from the local lyceum and Kyiv Vocational Technical School. In civilian life, he worked in the assembly and disassembly of case furniture. His last place of employment was the furniture factory "ANOVA." Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing and football. On February 25, 2022, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to war. He served in the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Konstantin Ostrozhsky. He was a mortarman. "His life was lived with dignity. It is hard to believe that you are no longer with us. We miss you very much," wrote the wife of the fallen, Tamila. The soldier was buried in his hometown. Viktor is survived by his parents, brother, wife, and two children. Posthumously, soldier Viktor Zubenko was awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree. He was granted the title of "Honorary Citizen of the Pyriatyn City Territorial Community."Memory Platform 'Memorial'
