Biography
Viktoria Olegivna Polishchuk was born in 2000 in the village of Zbarazh, Kozyatyn district, Vinnytsia region. After graduating from the 9th grade of a secondary school in the village of Vivsianiki, she enrolled in Vinnytsia Technical College, where she studied IT technologies. She then planned to study computer engineering at a university, successfully passed the external independent testing, and enrolled at Khmelnytsky Technical University. She studied the same specialty as in college. Viktoria dreamed of serving in Zhytomyr in the airborne assault troops, to which she was called up in the fall of 2019. In 2020, she signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After successfully completing training at the sniper school, she served in the 132nd separate reconnaissance battalion of the airborne assault troops. She participated in the war in Eastern Ukraine. Viktoria Polishchuk was one of the participants in the military parade on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence on August 24, 2021. She marched in the capital's Khreshchatyk as part of the parade formations of the Armed Forces' airborne assault troops. Shortly before the war, the girl became the heroine of one of the episodes of the program "Warrior - it's me," which airs on military television. She shared with viewers the secrets of operating in modern wartime conditions and the specifics of eliminating enemy sniper groups. With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, she was on the front lines. She was killed on March 21, 2022, during shelling by enemy Grad rockets from the territory of Belarus at positions in the Zhytomyr region. Farewell to the fallen took place on March 23, 2022, in her native village.Burial place
