Vitalii A. Kolisnyk (Malyi)

Senior soldier Vitaliy Kolysnyk (call sign Malyy) was killed on September 14, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region. The fighter received fatal injuries as a result of enemy mortar shelling. In October, the defender would have turned 28 years old. Vitaliy was born in the village of Petrikivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region. In 2012, after completing his secondary education, he enrolled in Dnipro Higher Professional School No. 17, where he trained as a cook. He worked at the "Chelyentano" pizzeria. In 2015, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He returned to Dnipro and worked at the "Steko" factory. From the first days of the full-scale war, he fought for Ukraine as part of the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade. "My brother was the best son for our parents and the best older brother for me. He was always my support. He was a bright and always smiling young man. He always came to the aid of his relatives and friends. He will forever remain in our memory," said the deceased's sister, Tetiana. The warrior was buried in his native village. Vitaliy is survived by his parents and sister.
