Vitalii A. Kovtunovskyi (Maniunia)

Soldier Vitaliy Kovtunovsky (call sign Manyunya) was killed on February 16, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the city of Marinka in the Donetsk region. The warrior remained forever 30 years old. Vitaliy was born in the city of Vinnytsia. He studied at school No. 5. Then he graduated from the Vinnytsia Transport College with a degree in "Organization and Technique of Fire Protection". In civilian life, he worked as a driver. He was married and raised two children. He loved to spend his free time with his family and wished for a peaceful life for his loved ones. During the full-scale Russian invasion, in July 2022, the man became a serviceman of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. He was a rifleman-sniper and carried out combat missions in the Donetsk region. "You can't find a man like him again. My angel, my beloved, who will always be 30, who will always be with us. He just wanted to live, love, and see his little princess and son grow up," said the wife of the fallen Yana. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Sabariv Cemetery in Vinnytsia. At home, Vitaliy was awaited by his father, wife, son, and daughter.
