Vitalii H. Skoryk

Skoryk Vitaliy Hryhorovych was born on May 15, 1986, in the village of Kharytonivka, Sribnyanskyi district, Chernihiv region. From August 1, 2014, he served in the 169th training center "Desna." He defended Ukraine in the ATO zone during the war in the East. When the military unit was retreating from encirclement in the area of Debaltseve, Donetsk region, in February 2015, Lieutenant Vitaliy Skoryk, being a communications officer of the tactical group, ensured reliable communication for the unit under constant enemy fire and carried the technical equipment of the communications company on himself. He was demobilized on July 31, 2015. With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he returned to the country from abroad on March 2, 2022, and registered for military service. As part of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Daniel, he headed to Eastern Ukraine. He was killed on March 18, 2022, during an artillery shelling. Vitaliy Skoryk was buried on March 26, 2022, in the village of Kharytonivka in Sribnyanshchyna.
