- Soldier Vitaliy Yatsenko was killed on October 22, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the vicinity of the village of Volodymyrivka in Donetsk region. The warrior was 46 years old. Vitaliy was born in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region. In 1995, he graduated from the Pavlohrad Machine Engineering College, and in 2000, from the Dnipropetrovsk State Mining Academy. He worked as an underground mining master at the "Pavlohradskaya" mine. Later, he started a private business in the construction sector, which he ran until the full-scale invasion. He loved traveling, nature, and music. He studied the history of Ukraine. With the onset of the full-scale war, he took up arms and went to defend his country from the occupiers. He fought in the ranks of the 128th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a shooter-driver of the 234th battalion. "Vitaliy was a true patriot of our country. He was a kind and caring person, always with a warm smile. He was a good son, brother, husband, and father. From the first day of the full-scale invasion, he volunteered. Vitaliy's combat path was not long but intense. He had to endure intense shelling, encirclement, difficult combat missions, concussions... But he was and remained a loyal patriot of Ukraine," his mother Hanna said. Vitaliy was buried at the Glory Alley of the cemetery in his hometown. He is survived by his mother, sister, wife, and two sons. Posthumously, the defender was awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
