- Military Vitaliy Shadey died on May 12, 2022 in the area of the settlement of Toshkivka in the Luhansk region. In the battle with the occupiers, he suffered a fatal explosive injury. He was 50 years old. Vitaliy was born in the village of Boronavya, Zakarpattia region. He studied in Khust. He graduated from vocational school No. 10 and the Zakarpattia Forestry College. In civilian life, he worked as a builder in Ukraine and abroad. He built his own house for his family and planted many trees. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the man went to the front without hesitation to protect his country and his family from the occupiers. He fought in the ranks of the 101st separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "A wonderful family man and an exemplary son. We have a great story: when we got married, the whole village was buzzing. They didn't want to take me as a daughter-in-law. All our lives we worked to have our own little nest where we could watch our grandchildren grow old in our old age. Now I can't understand the meaning of life, everything has become black and white. Our granddaughter looks like my deceased husband... He helped his sons build their own home, find themselves in life, gave wise advice. Everyone experiences loss differently, you can't convey the pain in printed letters... If all my life I lived and knew well that from work I was waited for at home, there was someone to talk to, to make plans for the next day, then now it's very difficult... When he's already gone, then you start to appreciate every minute. He really spoiled me, and I didn't notice it," shared the wife of the deceased Vita. Vitaliy was buried in his native village. He is survived by his mother, sister, wife and two sons. Vitaliy's younger brother, Vasyl Shadey, also died in the war, in July 2022.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
