Vitalii I. Tsoi

Vitaliy Ihorovych Tsoi was born on September 22, 1979, in Vilnogorsk, Dnipropetrovsk region. He studied at Secondary School No. 1 in his hometown. In 1997-1999, he served in the Ukrainian Navy on the famous frigate "Hetman Sahaidachny". He held the rank of Chief Petty Officer in the Ukrainian Navy. After demobilization, he worked as a lathe operator. His last workplace was LLC "PP Hidrospetsservis". With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine on March 2, 2022, he was mobilized. He served as part of the 17th separate Kryvyi Rih tank brigade named after Kostiantyn Pestushko. Later, he transferred to the 25th separate airborne brigade. He was killed on April 12, 2022, during enemy artillery shelling near the city of Popasna, Luhansk region. The farewell to the fallen took place on April 15, 2022, near the Palace of Culture and Sports "Metalurh". Vitaliy Tsoi was buried in the Alley of Glory of the city cemetery in Vilnogorsk, Dnipropetrovsk region.
