- Vitaliy Mykolayovych Hnatushok was born on September 15, 1981, in the village of Novyi Yar, Yavoriv District, Lviv Oblast. He graduated from Novoyavorivska School No. 1. He received his education at the Lviv College of Construction, Architecture, and Design. Vitaliy worked as a builder, constructing houses. In August 2022, Senior Soldier Vitaliy Hnatushok was called up for military service in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine due to mobilization. Holding a position in the Border Rapid Response Command No. 2, the serviceman proved himself positively, approached his duties responsibly, and demonstrated his professional qualities and organizational skills. Since March 12, 2023, Vitaliy Hnatushok, as part of the border unit, participated in battles during the defense of the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region and nearby settlements. The enemy did not cease attempts to attack the positions of Ukrainian defenders in Bakhmut. Under the leadership of Vitaliy Hnatushok, border guards repeatedly inflicted fire damage on the enemy infantry, which was conducting assaults supported by armored vehicles. On March 30, 2023, at 00:10, the enemy carried out a mortar shelling of the fire positions "Vegas 11" and "Vegas 22" in the area of the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, during which Senior Soldier Vitaliy Hnatushok sustained injuries incompatible with life. For personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as loyalty to military duty, Senior Soldier Vitaliy Mykolayovych Hnatushok was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" III degree.Memory Book of the MIA System
