Vitalii M. Moreka

Born on September 11, 1982, in the village of Smerekovo, Velykyi Bereznyi District, Zakarpattia Oblast. Graduated from a general education school. Served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Worked as a loader at the "Berkut" Trade Complex for 7 years. In 2014, mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Velykyi Bereznyi-Pereshyn Combined District Military Commissariat of Zakarpattia Oblast. Served as a crew member of the howitzer artillery division of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1778 (field post V4673), city of Mukacheve, Zakarpattia Oblast). Since 2014, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On October 31, 2014, soldier Morek was killed in battle near the urban-type settlement of Stanytsia Luhanska, Luhansk Oblast. Buried on November 2, 2014, in the cemetery of the village of Smerekovo, Velykyi Bereznyi District, Zakarpattia Oblast.
