Vitalii O. Chuiko

Vitali Chuiko, a territorial defense fighter, was killed on October 26, 2022, during a missile attack near the village of Yampolivka in the Donetsk region. The defender did not live a week until his 45th birthday. Vitali was from the city of Zaporizhzhia. After school, he graduated from a local college and obtained the profession of a carpenter. He worked as a repair mechanic at a factory in his hometown. He loved football, fishing, and cooking. He was brave, fair, cheerful, kind, and had many friends. During the full-scale war, Vitali joined the ranks of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the senior mechanic of the logistics platoon of the 108th battalion of the 111th separate brigade of the territorial defense. "He was our support and pillar, a reliable and loving husband and dad. I know that heroes never die, and my husband has become an Angel-Guardian for our daughter and me, and he will be with us," said his wife Iryna. The serviceman was buried in the cemetery of the village of Dniprelstal, Zaporizhzhia region. Vitali is survived by his wife and daughter.
