Vitalii P. Kopachuk

Born on April 30, 1979, in the village of Novy Vovchynets, Hlyboka district, Chernivtsi region. In 1994, he graduated from the 9th grade of the general education school in the village of Cherepkivtsi, Hlyboka district. Worked as a laborer. In July 2015, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He underwent training at the Yavoriv military training ground in the Yavoriv district of Lviv region. He served as a machine gunner in the 128th Separate Mountain Infantry Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1778 (field post V4673), city of Mukacheve, Transcarpathian region). From September 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On September 28, 2015, soldier Kopachuk was killed while performing a combat mission as a result of a mine explosion in the area of the village of Mykhailivka, Luhansk region (according to other sources - due to careless handling of weapons near the city of Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk region). On October 1, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Novy Vovchynets, Hlyboka district, Chernivtsi region.
