Vitalii P. Sokotniuk (Teplyk)

Senior soldier Vitaliy Sokotnuk (call sign Teplyk) was killed on January 21, 2024 in battle with the enemy near the village of Ivanivske in the Donetsk region. The warrior turned 44 years old on January 16. Vitaliy was born in the village of Teplyk, Vinnytsia region. He studied at the local school No. 2. Then he obtained the profession of an electrician at the Teplytskyi Agrarian Lyceum. He served his compulsory military service. For a long time he worked at the Teplytska EM. In March 2023, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 92nd separate assault brigade named after the military leader Ivan Sirko. He was a rifleman - an assistant grenade launcher of the assault squad. "Vitaliy was a good family man, a loving father, a faithful friend, a man of his word and deeds. A courageous, brave and fearless warrior," said neighbor Nadiya Dzyobko. The defender was buried next to his parents, in his native town. Vitaliy left behind his wife Tetiana, daughter Valentyna and son Andrii.
