Vitalii S. Mudrak

Paratrooper Vitaliy Mudrak was killed on January 5, 2023, covering the retreat of his comrades from the besieged city of Soledar in the Donetsk region. The warrior refused to surrender and fought the enemy to the last. In two months, on March 3, he would have turned 24 years old. Vitaliy was from the city of Korosten in the Zhytomyr region. He graduated from the Odesa Law Academy. He planned to stay and work in Odesa, but did not have time. With the start of the full-scale war, the man voluntarily joined the ranks of the defenders. He served in the 46th separate airmobile brigade of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Together with his comrades, he defended the Donetsk region. "Vitaliy was the only son of my youngest brother. Unfortunately, his parents was killed earlier. He was very capable and talented, had a good heart, a good memory and many friends. When he was killed, the Russian occupiers posted a photo of our fallen soldiers on the Internet with the caption 'Recognize the khokhol by his foreloc k'," said the deceased's aunt Nina Golovina. The hero was buried in his hometown. Vitaliy left behind four aunts, an uncle, cousins, and cousins. Posthumously, soldier Vitaliy Mudrak was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
