- Junior Sergeant Vitaliy Nevelskyi (call sign Mars) was killed on September 8, 2022, while performing his official duties near the village of Ternovi Pody in Mykolaiv Oblast. He sustained multiple shrapnel wounds during an enemy artillery shelling. The warrior was only 26 years old. Vitaliy was born in the village of Lypnyazhka in Kirovohrad Oblast. He graduated from the Pishchanobrodskiy Professional Agrarian Lyceum and obtained a qualification as a computer typing operator. He also stu at the Central Ukrainian Legal College, specializing in "Finance and Credit," earning a qualification as a finance and credit operator. Since 2021, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine under contract. During the full-scale war, he defended Ukraine as part of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk. He was the commander of a platoon of anti-tank guided missiles in the artillery division. He participated in battles for Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv Oblasts. During his service, he was awarded the badge of the Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "For Service" and the Order of "For Courage" of the 3rd class, which his family received after his death. "He was a sincere, kind, and caring brother who always smiled. He loved sports: calisthenics and arm wrestling. He also loved military service, to which he dedicated his life. He wanted to have a wife and a little angel. And all these dreams were taken away by the damned war," said the fallen soldier's brother, Igor. The defender was buried in the village of Dobrovelychkivka in Kirovohrad Oblast. Vitaliy is survived by his father Serhiy Mykolayovych, mother Inna Vitaliyivna, brother, and other relatives and friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
