Vitalii S. Razhyk (Shtorm)

Captain Vitaliy Razhyk (call sign Storm) was killed on August 29, 2023 during the assault on enemy positions near the town of Kreminna in the Luhansk region. In June, the officer turned 24 years old. Vitaliy was born in the village of Abramivka, Poltava region. He had dreamed of becoming a military man since childhood, so after finishing school, he entered a military university. He studied at the Kyiv Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization named after the Heroes of Kruty. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the young officer defended the Kharkiv direction. Then he was transferred to the National Guard of Ukraine. He served in the OZSP "Azov", which later became the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov". During his service, he was promoted to the rank of captain and became a platoon commander. "I have never met a braver person. He gave his young life for the future of Ukraine. He always tried to preserve the personnel, and he succeeded in this. His subordinates called him a great man. He never told his relatives about the situation at the front, he always said that everything was fine. Forever in memory, forever in the heart," said the fiancée of the fallen Alina. The officer was buried in his native village. Vitaliy is survived by his parents, sister, fiancée, relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms.
