- Soldier Vitaliy Shvyuyk (call sign Vitalis) was killed on November 8, 2022, while performing his official duties in Mykolaiv region. The defender was 32 years old. Vitaliy was born in the village of Danykivka in Vinnytsia region. In 2008, he graduated from Voronovytsia Vocational Technical School No. 14, earning qualifications as a tractor driver, forester, and driver. He studied for another year at Tulchyn Professional College of Culture, where he played the flute and clarinet in the brass band. In civilian life, he worked in construction and engaged in repair work. He was passionate about cars and fishing. On the first day of the full-scale invasion, February 24, 2022, he joined the ranks of the Tulchyn Territorial Defense. In May, he was assigned to the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk, where he held the position of a shooter. "He was a very good person, a wonderful husband, and an even better father... He always came to the aid of others. He loved his family very much and always hurried home. And how Ivanka was waiting for him and is still waiting... She is such a daddy's girl... He was passionate about cars, loved to drive. It was a kind of relaxation for him; he repaired and assembled everything himself. He wouldn't go to sleep until he finished. He also loved fishing. I was never against it because I knew he loved it and needed it for relaxation and rest. He always went fishing with his godfather, his best friend. He was a person you could rely on. He pursued his goals, but family was always his priority. He was my life, my support, my strength. And now I live as if without a part of myself. I want to wake up from this nightmare every time and have him next to me, to hug me and say: 'Everything will be fine, I love you so much,' 'You are strong,' 'I will be back soon'... If I had a hundred lives, I would live each one with you..." wrote the wife of the fallen soldier. The fighter was buried in his native village in Vinnytsia region. At home, waiting for Vitaliy were his mother Svitlana, father Stanislav, brothers Volodymyr and Oleksandr, wife Diana, and daughter Ivanna.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
