- Abramchuk Vitaliy Vasylovych was born on May 12, 1983, in Sumy region. In 2006, he graduated from Glukhiv State Pedagogical University. From 2006 to 2007, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in combat operations in Eastern Ukraine. By his personal example, diligent fulfillment of military duty, and military experience, he ensured a high level of combat readiness of the border guard unit. With the onset of Russia's military aggression against Ukraine in February and March 2022, the consolidated border unit carried out combat missions in the area of the city of Kreminna in Luhansk region regarding the redeployment of Ukraine's defense forces and preventing the enemy's breakthrough. On March 13, 2022, Russian troops attempted to attack the positions of the border defense forces. By holding back the enemy's advance, the border guards managed to force the aggressor to regroup. After an unsuccessful attempt to encircle the defense forces, suffering losses, the Russian troops changed their tactics and switched to remote shelling with mortars. The enemy did not cease attempts to advance using heavy weapons and grenades. Staff Sergeant Vitaliy Abramchuk covered the actions of the unit with fire from small arms and grenade launchers, selflessly holding back the enemy's advance. While covering his comrades during another enemy shelling, he sustained gunshot and shrapnel wounds that were incompatible with life. For personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, Staff Sergeant Abramchuk Vitaliy Vasylovych was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" III degree.Memory Book of the MIA System
