Vitalii V. Abramov

Junior Sergeant Vitaliy Abramov was killed in action on July 9, 2022, while performing a combat mission in his native Donetsk region. Near the village of Bohorodychne, enemy artillery fire cut short the life of the fighter. He would have turned 31 in five days. Vitaliy was born in the village of Novoselivka, Donetsk region. He stu at the local school. Then he graduated from Slovyansk Professional Machine-Building Lyceum, received the profession of a turner of a wide profile. He was never afraid of physical work, so he took on any task and always succeeded. Recently, he worked in construction. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Vitaliy joined the ranks of the 81st Separate Airmobile Brigade. Together with the unit, he defended his native land from the occupiers. However, he did not live to see victory. "He was always a loving husband, the best dad, son, brother, who always took care of everyone and helped everyone. He will forever remain in the hearts and memories of loved ones, acquaintances, because there will be no others like him. He was brave, honest, always with pride overcoming all life's obstacles on his way. That's why he left... That's why he's a hero... An angel forever...", his wife Irina said. "He loved his land very much, and when it was time to defend it, he went... As soon as the full-scale invasion began, Vitaliy gathered his things and went to defend his family, home, and country. He went through the hottest points of the front. He near Bohorodychne during a direct encounter with the enemy. He remained in the memory of those who were there at the time, a real steadfast combat friend and brother, who knew how to joke and support", wrote volunteer Oleksiy Yukov. The paratrooper was buried in his native village. Vitaliy left behind his mother, sister, wife, daughter, and son, who was born after his father's death.
