Biography
Bohonok Vitaliy Volodymyrovich was born on March 25, 1991, in the village of Pavlivka, Snihuriv district, Mykolaiv region. In 2008, he graduated from the 11th grade of Shcherbani Secondary School of I-III Degrees named after Ryaboshapka and received a certificate of complete general secondary education. In 2008, he entered the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports and the Department of Military Training at Mykolaiv State University named after V.O. Sukhomlynsky, which he graduated from in 2013, obtaining the qualification of a physical education teacher and the subject "Defense of the Motherland". In 2012-2014, he worked as a physical education teacher and the subject "Defense of the Motherland" at Mykolaiv Secondary School of I-III Degrees No. 28. On March 24, 2014, he was drafted into military service by mobilization, taking the position of commander of an airborne assault platoon. In January 2015, during the defense of Donetsk Airport, he received a gunshot shrapnel wound to the elbow joint. On March 22, 2015, he was discharged into the reserve and removed from the personnel list. On May 5, 2015, he returned to military service, taking the position of a student. In June 2015, he was appointed commander of a grenade launcher platoon of an airborne assault battalion, later taking the position of commander of a grenade launcher platoon of a fire support company of an airborne assault battalion. Since April 2022, he has been the commander of an airborne battalion of the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade. On July 25, 2022, during an artillery bombardment in the area of the settlement of Zaitseve, Donetsk region, Vitaliy Bohonok was seriously wounded and evacuated to a medical facility. On July 29, 2022, he died in a hospital in Dnipro from the severe wounds received in battle.Burial place
