Vitalii V. Chernetskyi

Senior soldier Vitaliy Chernetskyi died on July 26, 2022 in the hospital in Vinnytsia from wounds received during the performance of a combat mission near the village of Berehovе in the Donetsk region. The defender was 35 years old. Vitaliy was born in the village of Dovholuka, Lviv region. After school, he studied at the National University "Lviv Polytechnic". In 2012-2013, he worked in Israel. He was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity. Until 2017, he worked at the "Shepilska" recreation base and AV "Metalgroup". Then he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in the ATO / JFO. He studied at the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny. During the full-scale war, he fought in the ranks of the 14th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. He held the position of commander of the battery of anti-tank guided missiles of the anti-tank artillery division. For his service, Vitaliy was awarded the medal "Participant in Combat Operations", the Prince's Cross of the Hero "Forever in the Ranks", and the Order of Courage of the III degree. "Vitaliy was a strong, courageous, purposeful and intelligent son with his own plans for life and dreams," said his mother Halyna. The hero was buried in his native village. At home, Vitaliy was awaited by his mother and grandmother.
