Vitalii V. Harmatin

Airborne soldier Vitaliy Harmatіn was killed on July 18, 2022, during an enemy artillery barrage in the area of the settlement of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region. Exactly a week before his death, the defender turned 22 years old. Vitaliy was born in the city of Kakhovka, Kherson region. He received a technical education at the Novokakhovsk Polytechnic College, majoring in "Electrical Machines and Devices". He worked as a mechanic at a motor transport enterprise. The guy was passionate about cars and technology. He also engaged in weightlifting, participated in competitions and often won. During the full-scale war, Vitaliy defended Ukraine as part of the 79th separate air assault brigade and was very proud of his service. He held the position of driver and worked on his beloved cars. "He was always in a positive mood, always with a smile. He helped everyone and always fought for justice... Heroes don't die. He will always be in our hearts," said his mother Natalia. The young defender was buried in his native Kakhovka in the Kherson region. Only his mother was waiting for Vitaliy at home.
