Vitalii V. Hudziuk

Soldier Vitaliy Hudzyuk was killed on May 28, 2023, in the area of the settlement of Bilohorivka in Luhansk region. In a battle with the occupiers, he received a fatal wound from a bullet fired by an enemy sniper. The defender was forever 28 years old. Vitaliy was born in the village of Pyatka, Zhytomyr region. In 2012, he graduated from the 11th grade of the local school. Then he obtained the profession of an electrician at the Zhytomyr Vocational and Technical School. After graduation, he worked at the elevator of LLC SP "Nibulon", then earned a living in the capital. He was fond of fishing, like his grandfather, so at the first opportunity he immediately went to the river. He often helped his parents and friends with household chores. He loved life and planned to do a lot, but did not have time. On December 15, 2022, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to war. He fought as part of the 80th separate air assault brigade. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the eastern direction of the front. "From the first days of the war, being a patriot and a conscious citizen, he actively participated in ensuring public order in the village. We will always remember Vitalik as a cheerful, bright and kind person who was hardworking and always ready to help. A loving son, a wonderful brother and friend who was always ready to support and listen. He was very kind, always smiling and making everyone around him smile. Very sociable, he always found a common language with everyone. He knew how to support when he himself needed support, but he never showed it," said Natalia Derevytska, the childhood friend of the fallen soldier. The paratrooper was buried in his native village. Vitaliy is survived by his parents, sister, brother-in-law, niece, friends, loved ones and comrades-in-arms.
