  Born on May 8, 1978, in the village of Shapovalivka, Konotop district, Sumy region. Graduated from the school in the village of Shapovalivka. Worked at the school. Served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a shooter in the 95th Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0281, city of Zhytomyr). Since 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On November 6, 2014, soldier Parfenenko died of acute heart failure during the formation of personnel at the base camp near the city of Sloviansk, Donetsk region. Buried in the cemetery of the village of Shapovalivka, Konotop district, Sumy region.
