Vitalii V. Shevchenko (Old)

Shevchenko Vitalii Vasylovych was born in 1981. He lived in the town of Voronizh, Shostka district, Sumy region. He was a soldier, a serviceman of the OZSSP NGU "Azov". From the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he stood up to defend his homeland. He died on April 23, 2022 in the battles for the city of Mariupol. He left behind a mother, sister, and two sons. For personal courage and selfless actions in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, Shevchenko Vitalii Vasylovych was posthumously awarded the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine".
