Vitalii V. Sobchuk

Junior Sergeant Vitaliy Sobchuk was killed on November 29, 2022 near the village of Chervonopopivka in Luhansk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he sustained fatal injuries during enemy artillery shelling. The warrior was forever 30 years old. Vitaliy was from Volyn. He lived in Lutsk. He graduated from Lutsk National Technical University with a degree in "Instrument Making". He was engaged in fire shows and loved to listen to rock music. Since April 26, 2017, he served under contract in the 95th separate air assault brigade. He participated in the ATO / JFO. During the full-scale war, he held the position of commander of the anti-tank platoon of the fire support company. "Vitalik was an older brother in spirit for us, an example of courage, resilience and wisdom. He was always one of the first to take on and complete difficult combat missions," said his colleague and comrade-in-arms Valeriy. Vitaliy was buried in Horokhiv, Volyn. The defender's father also was killed in the war in October 2022. An older brother and loyal comrades-in-arms remain. The military was posthumously awarded the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine" and the Order of Courage of the III degree.
