Vitalii V. Solovei

Soldier Vitaliy Solovey died on March 29, 2023, during a Russian artillery bombardment of positions near the village of Oleksandro-Shultyne in the Donetsk region. The defender was forever 35 years old. Vitaliy was from the village of Novomykolaivka in the Odesa region. He graduated from a secondary school. He had a secondary specialized education. He worked in the agricultural sector. In 2015, having a "white ticket" and being unfit for service, he still went on a contract to the ATO. From the first day of the full-scale invasion, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as part of the 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, holding the position of an artillery gunner. For his service, soldier Vitaliy Solovey had a number of awards, including the badges "Badge of Honor" and "Participant of the ATO", the award of the President of Ukraine "For participation in the anti-terrorist operation". "Vitaliy was the best, caring, loving husband and father in the whole universe. He loved our Motherland very much. Cheerful, cheerful, friendly, he was always able to come to the aid of his acquaintances and friends," said his wife Natalia. The defender was buried in his native village. At home, Vitaliy was awaited by his wife, daughter and son.
