Vitalii Ya. Sukhotskyi

Vitalii Yakovich Sukhotskyi was born on September 15, 1999, in the village of Pidzvirinets in the Lviv region. At the age of 18, he signed a contract and became a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a participant in the combat operations of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) / Joint Forces Operation (JFO). He served in the combat zone in eastern Ukraine. With the start of the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Vitalii Sukhotskyi took part in heavy battles in the southeastern direction, including in the Donetsk region. He served as the commander of a section of the 1st artillery platoon of the artillery battery of the 2nd airborne assault battalion of the 80th separate airborne assault brigade. He was killed on March 4, 2023, during heavy fighting with Russian troops near the village of Ivanivske in the Bakhmut district of the Donetsk region. The farewell to the fallen hero took place on March 7, 2023. The warrior was buried in his native village.
