Vitalii Yu. Borylo (Koval)

Soldier Vitaliy Borilo (call sign Koval) was killed on September 14, 2023 while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Pryyutne in the Zaporizhzhia region. The defender was 40 years old. Vitaliy was born in Kyiv. He later settled in Zaporizhzhia. For some time he was engaged in the production of wooden furniture. Before the invasion, he worked at an oil mill. He loved fishing and spending time with friends. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man took up arms and went to the front, as he wanted to protect his home and loved ones. He fought as part of the 112th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a rifleman in a rifle platoon of a rifle company. According to his comrades-in-arms, Vitaliy was always eager to go into battle, never let anyone down, and could be relied on in anything. "Always a smile and always everything is good. A person with a big heart and soul," they noted. "Vitaliy was a true hero, ready to give his life for peace and freedom. A good comrade, a faithful brother-in-arms, a loving husband. An honest, open, friendly person. He always came to the aid of friends. He lived by conscience. He never left a job half-done, had big plans for the future, which were never destined to come true... He was a loving husband, a pillar and support..." wrote the deceased's wife Natalia. The warrior was buried in the city cemetery in Zaporizhzhia. Vitaliy is survived by his wife, children, brother, friends and comrades-in-arms.
