Vitalii Yu. Mudrenko (Narkoz)

Combat medic Vitaliy Mudrenko (call sign Narcos) was killed on May 3, 2023, during a night attack by enemy Shahed drones in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. He was forever 30 years old. Vitaliy was born in the village of Velyka Krucha, Poltava region. He studied at the Velykokruchanska secondary school. After the 9th grade, he entered the Lubny Medical College, where he obtained the qualification of a paramedic. He worked at the Hrebinkivska railway hospital, then in the intensive care unit of the Pyriatyn hospital. He loved motorcycles and was a biker for a certain period. During the full-scale war, in April 2022, the man voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 5th separate assault brigade. He was a senior medic in the medical company's evacuation department. During his service, Junior Sergeant Vitaliy Mudrenko was awarded the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's "Golden Cross" distinction, as well as the "For Exemplary Service" and "For Successful Completion of Assigned Tasks" badges. "He loved speed, wanted to help people, saved many lives of his comrades-in-arms, was a very cheerful person with big plans for the future," said the deceased's wife, Daryna. Vitaliy was buried in his native village. At home, his parents, brother, wife, and daughter were waiting for their protector. He was posthumously awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the Pyriatyn City Territorial Community".
