Vitalii Yu. Sydorchuk

Senior Lieutenant Vitaliy Sydorchuk (call sign Pyrotechnician) died on April 19, 2022 in the area of the village of Solodke in the Donetsk region. In the battle with the enemy, he received fatal injuries during an artillery bombardment. The officer was forever 22 years old. Vitaliy was born in the city of Rozhyshche, Volyn region. He lived in the village of Dubische. He studied at Volodymyr-Volynskyi School No. 3 and Rozhyshche School No. 3. He then decided, like his father, to become a military man. In 2017-2021, he studied at the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny. Since September 2021, he has been participating in the Joint Forces Operation. He was in the combat zone, where he also encountered the full-scale invasion. The young officer fought in the ranks of the 46th separate assault battalion "Donbas" of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He was the commander of a grenade launcher platoon. "For me, my son is the best. My angel chose the path of a military man himself, even before finishing school. I was very happy when in 2022 he received the rank of senior lieutenant, because he overtook his father (my father is a military retiree, a warrant officer). He was wounded. After treatment, he returned to his guys again. And on April 19, they took him away from me forever..." - shared the officer's mother, Valentyna Olehivna. The hero was buried in the village of Dubische in Volyn. His parents were waiting for Vitaliy at home.
