Vladyslav A. Miziak

Senior Sergeant Vladyslav Mizyak was killed on March 30, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region. The defender was 27 years old. Vladyslav was born in the city of Valkiv, Kharkiv region. Since childhood, he dreamed of becoming a military man. After the 9th grade, he entered the Kharkiv Lyceum with enhanced military training. Later, he obtained a higher legal education at the Hryhoriy Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University. He served in the ranks of the 3rd Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. He fought in the Donbas for three years. After the start of the full-scale invasion, Vladyslav continued his military service in the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. He held the position of platoon commander of the 5th separate brigade. "This was an extraordinary person. He was always positive. I miss you very much and I miss you a lot. I remember how you always told me, no matter what: 'Everything will be fine.' You will forever remain in my heart, my Hero!" wrote the deceased's girlfriend Tetyana. "As befits a true military man, balance, responsibility, and courage were the defining traits of Vladyslav's character. And in communication with his relatives and friends, he was always extremely friendly, attentive, sociable, and sincere. The sad news of Vlad's death resonated with unbearable pain and longing in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, for whom he was a friend, comrade, and brother. It is impossible to even fathom the despair and grief of his relatives who have lost, as they say themselves, a golden child. Eternal memory and glory to you, our Hero!" noted the Valkiv City Council. Vladyslav was buried at the Rohozivske cemetery in Boryspil. He is survived by his parents, girlfriend, friends, and comrades.
