Vladyslav D. Litvinov (Futbolist)

21-year-old sailor Vladislav Litvinov (call sign Footballer) was killed on December 10, 2022 near the village of Vodiane in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he suffered a fatal explosive injury. Vladislav was born in the village of Kotyuzhany, Vinnytsia region. He graduated from the Vinnytsia Transport Vocational College. He was passionate about football and spent all his free time with the ball. In October 2021, he was drafted into the military service. On January 6, 2022, the young man signed a contract with the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 36th separate marine brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilinsky. He was a 2nd category sniper. During his service, he was awarded the "For Exemplary Military Service" badge of the III degree. "Vlad was the best. Fair, kind, always polite, responsible, came to the aid of everyone. He was always a hero for me, someone to look up to. He valued and loved life," said his mother Olena Viktorivna. The young marine was buried in his native village. Vladislav is survived by his mother, military father, two brothers, grandmother and grandfather.
