Vladyslav E. Denysenko (Zodiak)

Soldier Vladyslav Denysenko (call sign Zodiac) was killed on April 15, 2022 in Mariupol, Donetsk region. The armored personnel carrier in which the soldier and his comrades were traveling came under intense enemy artillery fire and fell into the Kalmius River. Vladyslav was 24 years old. He was born in Donetsk, and since 2014 he had lived in Kyiv. He graduated from the Kyiv Transport and Economic College of the National Transport University, where he obtained a qualification as a mechanic. In civilian life, he worked at the Maximus company. During the full-scale invasion, Vladyslav defended Ukraine as part of the special operations unit of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov". He held the position of operator in the anti-tank unit. "My son Vladyslav is the best son of the Ukrainian land. We love him infinitely, thank him, and are proud of him," wrote his mother Inna. The warrior was buried on the Alley of Honorable Burials of the Lukianivka State Historical and Memorial Reserve. Vladyslav is survived by his parents. Posthumously, the defender was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree, the Medal "Honor. Glory. State," and the Order of the Cross of the Hero.
