Vladyslav I. Butenko

Soldier Vladislav Butenko was killed on March 2, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 34 years old. Vladislav was born in the city of Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region. He graduated from the Pavlohrad Technical School of the National Mining University, where he obtained the specialty of a miner. In parallel, he obtained the specialty of a computer typist. He worked at the DTEK "Pavlohradvuhillia" plant and at the "Ternivska" mine. He was interested in politics, news, and sports. He loved football. During the full-scale war, Vladislav was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh. He was a platoon commander - a combat vehicle commander. "Responsible, hardworking, work was his top priority. The lunches he took with him, he brought home, but the work was done. He enjoyed great authority among his comrades, and even the authorities had a good reputation. He was a very kind, generous, and sensitive person. In his free time, he visited his godson and nephew, never begrudging them anything. I now think that because of them, he went as a volunteer to protect them and all Ukrainians," said the mother of the fallen Yulia. Vladislav was buried in his hometown. His parents were waiting for him at home.
