- Junior Sergeant Vladyslav Tkalich (call sign Cartographer) suffered blast injuries on October 24, 2023 during the evacuation of the bodies of fallen comrades near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. On November 1, he died from his wounds at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Hospital named after I. Mechnikov. Vladyslav was 38 years old. He was from the village of Podil in the Chernihiv region. He obtained a higher education in geodesy and land management at the National University of Water Management and Environmental Engineering in Rivne. He dedicated 12 years of his life to working in the civil aviation of Ukraine. He was a leading engineer of aeronautical information at the State Enterprise "Ukraerorukh". He lived with his wife and son in Boryspil, Kyiv region. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he voluntarily took up the defense of his native land. He held the position of combat medic of the 1st platoon of the 2nd consolidated company of the 137th battalion of the 114th separate brigade of the territorial defense. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he repelled the attacks of the enemy in the Kharkiv and Donetsk directions. He was awarded the medals "For the Defense of the Motherland" and "We will Protect Our Home, We will Protect Ukraine". "In the memory of friends, relatives and all who knew Vladyslav, he will forever remain a loving son, brother, husband and father, a good soldier, a kind, sincere and extremely courageous person! How many sons did he return alive to their mothers, but gave his own life, his own heart for Ukraine. Ukraine was above all for him!" said Svitlana Zheliba, the late defender's sister. The defender was buried in the village of Podil in the Chernihiv region. Vladyslav is survived by his son, wife, parents and two sisters.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
