- 32-year-old warrior Vladyslav Rymarev (call sign Phil) was killed on February 9, 2023 near the village of Ivanivske in Donetsk region. During the assault on enemy positions, he came under mortar fire and was fatally wounded. Vladyslav was born in Kharkiv. He graduated from Poltava University of Economics and Trade. He worked as a croupier and loved his job. He enjoyed listening to music, playing with his Malamute Tyson, and spending time with his loved ones. With the start of the full-scale invasion, Vladyslav decided that he had to contribute to the victory. At first, he engaged in volunteer work, and later he volunteered to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 5th separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, holding the position of senior rifleman. "Who, if not me? Who will protect you if everyone stays at home? I'm a man!" He wanted us to be proud of him! And we are proud, but with great pain in our hearts, because he was a good, honest, and brave person. He always smiled and warmed everyone around him with his smile. We miss him very much," say the warrior's loved ones. Vladyslav's relatives recall the words he said a few days before his death: "Bakhmut is hell on earth." The serviceman was buried in the Alley of Glory of cemetery No. 18 in Kharkiv. He is survived by his mother, younger sister, beloved girlfriend, and many friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
