- Junior Sergeant Vladyslav Solomko was killed on June 3, 2023, while performing his official duties near the village of Vodiane in the Donetsk region as a result of enemy artillery shelling of positions. The defender was 32 years old. Vladyslav was born in the city of Horishni Plavni, Poltava region. After graduating from the 9th grade of school No. 2, he entered the Komsomolsk Polytechnic College, where he obtained the qualification of a mining technician-electromechanic. In 2011, he began his career at the Poltava Mining and Processing Plant. At the same time, he continued his studies at the National Mining University, where he obtained the qualification of an electromechanical engineer. Since 2014, he has participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation. In 2016, he received the award of the President of Ukraine "For participation in the anti-terrorist operation." During the full-scale invasion, Vladyslav fought for his country in the ranks of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. He held the position of commander of a mortar battery section. "For our family, he was a very close person, a friend of my husband, he always helped and was nearby. Very cheerful, the soul of the company. He was reliable. He loved children, and the children loved him very much," said Hanna Hurina. The military was buried in his hometown. Vladyslav is survived by his parents, relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
