- 25-year-old senior sailor Vladyslav Berezny (call sign Bear) died on June 21, 2023 at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Hospital named after I. Mechnikov. On June 15, while returning from a combat mission, the soldier was involved in a car accident in the area of the village of Kostiantynopil in the Donetsk region and sustained serious injuries. Vladyslav was from the Rivne region. He lived in the city of Varash. He graduated from the Ternopil National Technical University named after Ivan Puliui. He worked at the Rivne Nuclear Power Plant. He was interested in the history of Ukraine. Although it seemed that he already knew everything, he was always looking for new sources to learn more about the past of his native country. In 2019, as part of the 3rd Operational Brigade named after Colonel Petro Bolbochan of the National Guard of Ukraine, he carried out combat missions on the territory of the Joint Forces Operation. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Vladyslav was mobilized into the ranks of the Ukrainian Navy. He served in the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynsky. He held the position of senior gunner. He fought on the hottest fronts, went through heavy battles and survived. However, fate was such that the warrior's life was cut short not by an enemy bullet or shell, but by a tragic accident. "Everyone knew Vlad as a super positive and kind person. They always knew that if they turned to him, he would come to help in any situation. Vlad never talked about his problems, but he was always ready to listen and help his relatives and friends. Forever the elder brother and best friend," said the soldier's sister Olha. The military was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the cemetery in the village of Stara Rafalivka, Rivne region. Vladyslav is survived by his parents, sister and brother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
