Vladyslav M. Saus

Paratrooper Vladislav Saус was killed in action on May 7, 2022, from a bullet fired by an enemy sniper while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Drobysheve in the Donetsk region. The defender was only 28. Vladislav was born in the village of Shishkine in the Kirovohrad region. He stu programming at the Central Ukrainian National Technical University. However, he did not work in his field and got a job as a driver. In his free time, he loved to fish. He dreamed of serving in the airborne assault troops and later chose a military career for himself. Since 2020, Vladislav had been serving under contract in the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade and was very proud of it. With the onset of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, he took up the defense of his homeland. Together with his comrades, he defended his native land in the hottest areas of the front. "You always wanted to be in the 79th Air Assault Brigade, my angel... Vladislav was a kind person, the best son and brother... He always helped everyone and supported them in difficult times... He dreamed of buying a house and returning home alive, but fate had other plans," said his sister, Tetiana. The defender was buried in his native village. Vladislav is survived by his parents, sister, and a little son who will turn 4 years old.
