- Serviceman Vladyslav Arkushenko was killed on March 29, 2022, during a Russian missile strike on the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration. That morning, he took up a security post. The soldier was 21 years old. Vladyslav was born in Mykolaiv. He was an obedient and curious child, interested in computer technology. At a very young age, he modernized the family computer. He graduated from the Mykolaiv College of Transport Infrastructure of the Dnipropetrovsk National University of Railway Transport named after Academician V. Lazaryan. In peacetime, he worked on the railway as a 5th grade electrical fitter for the repair and maintenance of signaling, centralization and blocking devices at the Mykolaiv-Vantazhny station. He served his conscription. After six months, he signed a contract. In parallel, he studied by correspondence at the Dnipro University of Railway Transport. He dreamed of becoming a programmer. He also took courses in the Lviv region, trained as a senior soldier, and was the leader of the city patrol group with the right to carry firearms. In March 2022, the young man was mobilized. Vladyslav served in the 19th Regiment of the Public Order Protection of the National Guard of Ukraine. Colleagues remember that Vladyslav was very active, always smiling and positive. His mother Olena adds that her son willingly responded to any requests. His brother Matvii, who was 6 years old at the time of his death, misses Vladyslav very much. He remembers that Vladyslav often walked with him, took him for walks, and was caring, kind and loving. "He became a railwayman following in his father's footsteps, and from the first days of the enemy's attack on Ukraine, he went to defend his Homeland," the defender's mother said. The soldier was buried in the village of Dobre. Vladyslav is survived by his parents and brother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
