Vladyslav O. Halushko (Smail)

Paratrooper Vladislav Galushko (call sign Smile) was killed on March 10, 2023 while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. The life of the warrior was cut short by a bullet from the enemy sniper. In April, the defender would have turned 24 years old. Vladislav was born in the village of Vyshnevе in the Chernihiv region. He studied at Bobrovytsia School No. 1. Then he graduated from a vocational school of railway transport. He worked as a security guard at enterprises. He was engaged in volunteer activities. He loved active recreation with friends and family in nature. From the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the defenders. He served in the 81st separate airmobile brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was an operator of the anti-tank section. He went into his last battle as a machine gunner. "The best man and friend. Strong, kind, faithful and gentle. He was always there and tried to help everyone. The war took my husband from me. And from my husband, they took the opportunity to see his baby - to take him in his arms and give him paternal care, tenderness and care," said the wife of the fallen Lyudmyla. The warrior was buried in the city of Bobrovytsia in the Chernihiv region. Vladislav is survived by his mother, sister and wife, who was expecting their firstborn.
