Vladyslav O. Kondrashchenko (Vlados)

27-year-old Senior Sergeant Vladislav Kondrashchenko was killed on May 15, 2022, while defending Kharkiv region from Russian occupants. He received fatal injuries during an artillery shelling in the area of the village of Izbytske. Vladislav was born in the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region. He obtained secondary education. Since 2014, he has been defending the Motherland in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Initially, he served in the 92nd Mechanized Brigade. Since 2019, he fought as part of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He participated in the ATO / JFO in Donbas. His call sign was Vlados. In 2020, he was discharged from service and returned to civilian life. He lived in Kharkiv. When the full-scale Russian invasion began, Vladislav took up arms again. He joined the Kharkiv 127th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a machine gunner-gunner. From the first days, together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Kharkiv region. Vladislav was buried in the Alley of Glory in Kharkiv. The hero left behind a mother, a wife and a daughter born in the spring of 2022. Posthumously, Senior Sergeant Vladislav Kondrashchenko was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
